::About us::
One fifth of the world's population is Chinese, while English is the world's most popular second language. In order to help the largest segment of the world's population speak this popular language, we are looking all around the world for qualified personnel to help us. We will match these people with the schools, colleges and universities who require them. To do this, we have established connections with a number of reliable Chinese schools, colleges and universities for you to choose from.
We have been running our successful TeachinChina.cn program since early 2003. Behind our success lies our focused vision and working philosophy. We concentrate on grass-roots projects, cultural immersion and operational support. Our understanding of what foreign teachers need and our ability to tailor our services and approaches reflects the uniqueness of TeachinChina.cn
Together, we can work to improve understanding between China and the world. Strive to go ever-further, reach ever-higher to bring down the final communication barriers in this truly global age.

The Teach in China has now been going for over 4 years. What has New Times accomplished in this time?
In the past four years we have placed many teachers all over China, 98% of these have been happy and had wonderful experiences in China.
How has the process of placing foreign teachers changed over the last few years?
New Times started just after the SARS crisis in 2003. At the time, incoming teachers would receive positions within a day. From the second year on, a positive change occurred with both New Times and its contact schools demanding more professional applications and backgrounds from teachers. In 2006, we implemented a new vetting procedure for both schools and teachers to ensure that both sides were provided with quality working environments
What kind of experience can you expect when coming through New Times?
Unlike other agencies, we take care of our teachers from the moment they land to the moment they leave China . We take care of every aspect of their stay before they find a school and our follow-up service means that we provide teachers with direct support, anytime they face a problem they feel they need advice or help on.
Who are working for New Times?
Our team has been built over the last 4 years, ensuring a high degree of professionalism. At the beginning, the New Times staff was all Chinese but soon we hired foreign staff as well, ensuring that New Times can see any situation from both Chinese and foreign perspectives. Currently Jacques from Holland is our Project Manager. We have Michael who co-ordinates the placement of teachers in the schools, Ally answers the phones from the schools and arranges the volunteer placements, and Jack, Jerry and Nancy are responsible for meeting the teachers in Beijing and for their general well-being in Shijiazhuang along with Jacques.
Unfortunately, there are many bad stories about teachers' experiences in China. Is New Times a genuine agency?
It is true that although the state of ESL in China is improving, there are still too many bad recruiters out there. New Times stands out due to the fact that we understand that every teacher has different needs and we tailor our services to match each of these needs. We do understand that coming to China is a leap of faith, and we reward such an act by creating a real sense of community within New Times and by helping to erase the culture-shock by providing a smooth transition into China.
What final advice can New Times give to all those who want to come and teach in China?
Doubts and nerves are understandable. But if you have the desire to come to China, do not hesitate. We promise you an unforgettable experience that you will treasure for the rest of your life.
